In ayurveda Bees wax is called as "madhucchiṣṭa" (मधुच्छिष्ट) or "siktha" (सिक्थ). Beeswax is valued in ayurveda for its protective and nourishing qualities. Its guru (heavy) nature forms a protective barrier on the skin, sealing in moisture and balancing vata dosha. Rich in vitamin A, it soothes dryness, softens the skin, and promotes a smooth, youthful appearance.
